Condolence reference held for martyrs of Shahbaz Qalandar

Pakistani soldiers cordon off the shrine of 13th-century Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, in the town of Sehwan, after a bomb killed dozens of worshippers Thursday.

SUKKUR: A Condolence reference for the martyrs of Hazrat  Sakhi Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Sehwan Sharif carnage was held at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) in Khairpur.

According to a press release, a large number of teachers, officers, employees and students attended the reference.

The participants of the reference demanded that the government take stringent security measures to secure the devotees at all the shrines, mosques, imam bargahs and others prominent places.

The participants also prayed for the security, integrity and peace of the country and condemned the wave of recent terror attacks countrywide and stressed the need to forge unity for the peace, harmony and stability of Pakistan.

Professor Dr Muhammad Yousuf Khushk, Professor Dr Mumtaz Hussain Mahar, Professor Dr Badaruddin Memon, Professor Dr Syed Asad Raza Abidi, Professor Dr Taj Muhammad Lashari, Syed Mehdi Shah Rashdi and a number of teachers, officers and employees attended the reference.
