LONDON: British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson Friday condemned the explosions in Pakistan and Iraq that killed 80 and 50 people respectively.

Voicing his condemnation on a social networking website, the foreign secretary said his country stands with Pakistan and Iraq in the fight against terrorism.

In this tweet, Johnson said, “Sickened by shrine attack in #Sehwan and car bomb in #Baghdad. UK stands with #Pakistan and #Iraq in fight against terrorism.”

It should be mentioned here that at least 80 people were killed and scores others wounded in Thursday’s bombing at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan.

Also on Thursday, a powerful car bomb ripped through a used car market in the south of Baghdad, Iraq’s capital, killing more than 50 people in the deadliest such attack this year.
