The Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif has called for ruthless operation against terrorists. He was chairing a high powered meeting at Raiwind today. Earlier he went to martyred DIG Ahmad Mobeen to offer his condolences to his family. He also visited the hospitals in Lahore to express his sympathies with the victims of Charring Cross blast. He added that the facilitators and supporters of the terrorists should also be severely dealt with force. He expressed his anger over the lapse of security despite the advance warning and security alert. Zero tolerance for any negligence must be observed. No compromise will be made to protect the lives of the citizens.
I hope he follows his rhetoric and authorise the Punjab Rangers to initiate grand scale operation against the terrorists without any reservations and favours. The Punjab government has shown absolute arrogance to allow any kind of military or rangers operation in the province. The Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah has repeatedly denied the existence of any enclaves of terrorists and presence of sleeper cells in Punjab. I think this man is not a fit person to watch the Public’s interest. He should be arrested and interrogated for his links with the notorious terrorist outfits – as long as he remains in office, no meaningful action against defunct terrorist organisations possible.
Prime Minister lauded and appreciated the efforts of the law enforcing & security agencies in combating the terrorism. Our army &law enforcing officials have laid down their lives in the services of the country. Their sacrifices should not go waste. It is no doubt the duty of the governments to provide security &protection to the citizens. This new wave of terrorism has been ushered in by the enemies of the State due to the criminal negligence of the responsible persons in power. At present the people of Pakistan are at the mercy of Invisible power. We must put all our resources to combat and eliminate terrorists.
