ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, while talking to media on Supreme Court premises after Panamagate hearing Thursday, said the court may hand down its verdict on the case in next week.

“It is our victory that for the first time ever the powerful persons are standing an accountability trial. It’s a real change,” averred Khan.

“Sharif family’s counsel once again questioned the jurisdiction of the apex court,” he said of the court proceedings.

Khan said the Sharifs admitted in the court that the Qatari prince was their business partner, and “it was their corruption that they awarded government contracts to a business partner”.

According to Khan, the SC has termed the letter from the Qatari prince a story. He said the real money trail was Ishaq Dar’s confessional statement.

Khan also claimed that the actual documents relating to the offshore businesses and properties of the Sharif family were abroad.

PTI chairman asked the Sharif family to sue the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) if the documents presented by it were forged.

He also told the media that the court had summoned the chairmen of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday with record of the Hudabiya Papers Mills case.
