Jamaat-ul-Ahrar targeting Pakistan from sanctuaries inside Afghanistan: MoFA

An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in Islamabad has met Afghan Deputy Head of Mission Syed Abdul Nasir Yousafi to address terrorist attacks in Pakistan by militant groups operating in Afghanistan, according to a press release issued by MoFA.

United Nations and European Commission (UN&EC) Additional Secretary Tasnim Aslam raised the “grave concern [Pakistan has] about the continuing terrorist attacks on Pakistani soil by the terrorist outfit Jumaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA) [operating] from its sanctuaries inside Afghanistan,” the release read.

Aslam also informed Yousafi that Afghan authorities had been informed “earlier” about “actionable intelligence” where Pakistan pressed Afghanistan “to take urgent measures to eliminate the terrorists and their sanctuaries, financiers and [facilitators] operating from its territory,” the statement read.

The additional secretary also shared an ‘aide-memoire’ with the Afghan deputy head of mission, which contained “details of the terrorist attacks and supporting information”.

Afghan Deputy Head of Mission called in 

Afghan Deputy Head of Mission (DHM), Syed Abdul Nasir Yousafi on Wednesday was called in to the Foreign Office by UN&EC additional secretary for registering concern over terrorist attacks in Pakistan by Jumaat-ul-Ahrar from Afghanistan, foreign Office said in a statement.
The Afghan DHM has been conveyed the grave concern of Pakistan about the continuing terrorist attacks on its soil by the terrorist outfit, Jumaat-ul-Ahrar’s (JuA) sanctuaries inside Afghanistan.
DHM’s attention was also drawn to the earlier actionable intelligence shared by Pakistan’s authorities with the Afghan side.
Afghanistan was urged to take urgent measures to eliminate the terrorists and their sanctuaries, financiers and handlers operating from its territory.
An Aide-Memoire containing details of the terrorist attacks and supporting information was also shared with the Afghan deputy head of mission.

Pakistan's porous borders make it easy for suicide bombers to hide in Afghanistan while attacking Pakistan…this is the same technique used by the Taliban when they were attacking Afghanistan from Pakistan…Taliban attacks on Afghanistan were not directed or controlled by Pakistan and neither are terrorist attacks by Jammat al ahrar directed or controlled by Afghanistan…they both are directed and controlled by radical fanatic mullahs who have the support of bigoted, uneducated Muslims in both countries…
