FPCCI, KCCI condemn Lahore attack

KARACHI: The Pakistan Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Karachi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) leaders have strongly condemned the suicide attack in Lahore on protestors taking 13 lives including two senior police officers and injuring over dozen others and described it a cowardly act by the terrorists.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Pakistan Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Zubair F Tufail, Senior Vice President Aamer Ata Bajwa, and the others expressed their deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives.

“We equally share grief with the bereaved families of the martyrs and the entire nation is standing behind them in this difficult time,” the statement said.

They, however, said such brutal acts did give more strength and courage to the nation adding that the sacrifices of our people and brave officers would not go in vain but would give the nation more strength to carry on its resolve to fight the terrorists.

Meanwhile, the leaders of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry during a press conference at the chamber, on Wednesday, offered Fateha for the martyrs of Lahore blast and prayed for early recovery of the injured.

They strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the protestors in front of the Punjab Assembly and assured their full support to the law enforcing agencies in combating terror and other kind of crimes.
