KARACHI : The three-day Karachi Literature Festival (KLF) started today at Beach Luxury Hotel.

The KLF has become a sincere symbol of Pakistan’s cultural life that was earlier hidden from the rest of the word.

The KLF has become a vigorous platform for the conveyance of the message of the rich and diverse culture of our country to the international communities.

Like every year, this time a heterogeneous line-up of writers and artists has ornamented the three-day programmes’ list. The orators on the introductory and concluding days include renowned historian Ayesha Jalal, novelist and journalist Mohammed Hanif, Urdu writer Mustansar Husain Tarar and American philanthropist Bob Sager.

Dozens of books extending from novels and research work to poetry collections will also be launched.

Famous Pakistani veteran film actress Shabnam arrived in Karachi yesterday to participate in Karachi Literature Festival (KLF). Shabnam will attend two sessions at the KLF, the first on Saturday 2:15 till 3:15 PM with the title “Phool Aur Shabnam” in which Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari will be in discussion with Shabnam.
