A six-member delegation of the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) in a meeting with Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) A D Khawaja urged the early evacuation of their property occupied by the mafia in the metropolis.
The ABAD delegation led by their senior vice president, Hussain Bakshi, also apprised the police chief about problems faced by association members and other traders of the province.
The IGP directed AIG – Operations and AIG – CPO to initiate a crackdown against the land mafia and ensure that properties identified by the ABAD delegation were vacated after necessary verification.
He reiterated that strict and across the board action should be taken against the land mafia.
Khawaja also directed police officials to hold meetings with ABAD representatives and ensure that their complaints were addressed.
He urged members of the business community in general to assist the police and local government departments in their efforts against encroachment.
