LAHORE: Punjab government has decided to make education of Quran-e-Pak with Urdu translation for the Muslim students mandatory from first class to 12th class.
The education would be given in phase starting from Nazra Quran at primary level, comprehensive details of Islamic incidents at secondary level whereas Quranic verses with Urdu translations would be studied at higher secondary level.
While chairing a session at Lahore’s Children Library, provincial leader Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan directed the authorities to mull the syllabus accordingly.
He said that this step would surely strengthen behaviour and attitude of the students according to the teachings of Islam.
