Afghan ambassador calls on Riaz Hussain Pirzada

Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr Omar Zakhilwal, Monday called on Inter-provincial Coordination Minister, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada.

Both discussed the matters related to sports during the meeting.

Riaz Pirzada said that Afghanistan could send its players to Pakistan for getting training and playing matches, said a press release here.

The minister said matches of cricket and football should be held between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Referring recent Davis Cup held between Pakistan and Iran at Sports Complex, Islamabad, the minister said that Afghanistan could also send its players to Pakistan, as Sports Complex, Islamabad, had each and every sports facility and foolproof security arrangements for players.

He said that the youth of two countries should embrace sports.

The Afghan ambassador noted that it was a positive omen if matches were held between Pakistan and Afghanistan teams.

Inter-provincial Coordination Secretary, Raja Muhammad Nadir Ali, and Pakistan Sports Board Director General, Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, were also present in the meeting.
