ABBOTTABAD: Hundreds of tourists were left stranded in Abbottabad’s Changla Gali due to snowfall after which rescue operation was started by the administration to clear the area.
Likewise, snowfall in Chaman’s area Kosak has blocked the national highway and food supply has also been cut off. Management is trying to clear snow from roads.
Snowfall in Ghanche continues for the third day which has broken the connection of district with adjacent places. 3 feet snow has been recorded so far in Khaplu and upper regions.
The connection of upper parts has been cut off with the neighbouring areas for three days and the rally that was going to be carried out on Kashmir Day was also cancelled.
Met Office has predicted rain-thunderstorm (with snowfall over the hills) in next 24 hours at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, upper FATA, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Foggy conditions are likely over plain areas of Punjab and Upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
