RAWALPINDI: The government has decided to recruit at least 750 field assistants in Agriculture Department across Punjab including Rawalpindi Division.
The purpose of hiring new field assistants is to improve performance of the department and promote the agriculture sector.
According to sources, the field assistants would visit the fields to examine crops and diseases damaging the crops and submit a report in this regard to the relevant department to take necessary measures to increase crop yield and control the crop diseases.
The majority of the officers will be deployed in Rawalpindi Division.
The new hiring will be done through the Public Service Commission and the officers would be given training.
