A 20-member delegation of businessmen and industrialists called on Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair.
The delegation was led by a former provincial minister and president of Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals’ Forum, Mian Zahid Hussain, a spokesman of the Governor House said here on Saturday. He said that the governor assured them that every possible cooperation and assistance would be extended to the traders and industrialists and added that Karachi was the economic hub of the country and it would be ensured that the industries continue to perform at a faster pace.
The governor also asked the members of the delegation to submit detailed working paper regarding the problems of the areas concerned. He further informed that he would request the federal government for the rehabilitation of the infrastructure in various sectors. Muhammad Zubair also asked the private sector to extend assistance in this very respect.
The delegation included Sardar Yasin Malik, Abdul Rahim Janoo, Yahya Polani and Javed Jilani. The delegation congratulated Muhammad Zubair on assuming the office of Sindh governor. Mian Zahid Hussain also spoke of important role of the business community in developmenet process in the country.
