The weather turned cold as different parts of the metropolis and its surrounding areas received rain with thunder and lightning in some areas on Saturday night.
Dark clouds hovered above Lahore for several days before finally releasing the downpour.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the recent spell of rain is due to a westerly wave which affected central and northern parts of the country.
Rain and thundershower were also reported at scattered places in Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Hazara division, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit- Baltistan.
The PMD said that intermittent spells of light rain and drizzling are expected at isolated places in Punjab during the next 24 hours, while snow was forecast over the hills of Murree and its surroundings during the period.
Foggy conditions are also predicted in a few areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during twilight hours.
