The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) set up awareness stalls at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) regarding solid waste system and environmental protection in the city for the university’s annual career fair.

According to a spokesperson of the LWMC, the stalls were specifically set up to inspire fresh graduates to join the LWMC in the future. Students were also informed of modern solid waste management methods adopted by the LWMC.

Interested students were briefed about the mission, work and projects of the LWMC towards making Lahore a cleaner city. “Hundreds of students were briefed and registered for volunteer and internship work during the fair,” the spokesperson said.

Numerous public and private departments and leading companies from all over the country also participated along with the LWMC to attract young LUMS graduates.

LWMC Managing Director Bilal Syed said that the annual career fair was not only a great opportunity for LUMS graduates of LUMS but also for organisations seeking to hunt talent.
