A comprehensive security plan is being devised for the University of Karachi, an official of the institution said on Saturday.
He stated that a high level security meeting in this regard was presided over by Karachi University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan to discuss the ongoing security situation of the varsity and devise a comprehensive security plan for the institution. According to the security plan, CCTV cameras will be installed on entrance and exit points for which central control room was being established and it was in final stage.
Patrolling in the campus premises has also been enhanced. It was also decided in the meeting that chief security officer will immediately be appointed for which approval has already been sought from the varsity’s syndicate.
