QUETTA: A child, among wedding party stranded in Bati, died on Saturday afternoon.
Balochistan Provincial Disaster Management Authority Director General Aslam Tareen said the child might have died of cold.
The teams of Frontier Corps, local administration and levies reached the site on foot since the condition of roads in the area does not allow vehicles to reach easily.
At least 60 people, including the bride and groom, went missing on their way to Nushki from a wedding in Chagai late Friday night, according to levies personnel. The people were onboard in six vehicles.
One of the persons who managed to reach Nushki on foot said the vehicles could not move forward from Zaro due to the dilapidated state of the road, which is why he walked to Nushki to look for help so that the wedding procession could resume the journey to Nushki.
