Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday remarked that love marriages never succeed, adding that when they are shown as a failure even in films, they cannot succeed in real life either.
The court further remarked, “Those who contract love marriage approach the court after some time for divorce.
The statement was made during the hearing of a ‘love marriage case that came up for hearing before a two-member bench of the SHC on Friday.
The court directed Dadu police to provide protection to the couple who had married according to their will, and file a reply within two weeks.
The petitioner took the plea in the petition that the parents of his wife, Batool, want to kill her and requested the court to provide protection to them.
