KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed authorities to add Dr Asim Hussain’s name on the Exit Control List (ECL).
Dr Asim Hussain, a Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) member and a close aide of former President Asif Ali Zardari, is facing corruption and terrorism-related cases.
He is being investigated by National Accountably Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The accused, who is a former petroleum minister, has requested the court to allow him to fly abroad for treatment; however, the court rejected his plea.
In a written order, the SHC directed authorities to put his name on the ECL and not issue any passport till the investigation is complete.
