Health secretary pays surprise visit to Jinnah Hospital

LAHORE: Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Secretary Najam Ahmad Shah on Friday paid a surprise visit to the Jinnah Hospital.

The secretary took a round of various wards, emergency department and inspected the cleanliness conditions and expressed satisfaction over the conditions.

The secretary directed the professors and senior doctors to ensure evening round of the wards to discharge fully recovered patients to improve the beds availability for the new patients.

Najam Ahmad Shah directed the administration of the hospital to come up with a plan for reducing bed occupancy rate within a week.

Shah also reviewed the seepage of the building and said that the seepage of Jinnah Hospital building is a long awaited issue which would be resolved on priority basis during revamping of the hospital.
