CDA to preserve historic sites at Shah Allah Ditta village

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Member Administration Muhammad Yasir Peerzada said that the CDA is all set to preserve important historic sites located in village Shah Allah Ditta.

“Historic places at Shah Allah Ditta are our national heritage and we need to preserve them. The CDA will use all available resources to preserve Shah Allah Ditta national heritage”, he said.

He expressed these views while visiting Shah Allah Ditta. Islamabad Deputy Mayor Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi accompanied him during the visit. .

Shah Allah Ditta, due to its historical significance, has a potential to become a tourist attraction. CDA will take necessary steps to promote Shah Allah Ditta as tourist destination. Promotion of Shah Allah Ditta as tourist site will multiply tourism in Islamabad, he added.

Deputy Mayor MCI Syed Zeeshan Naqvi briefed member (administration) CDA that Shah Allah Ditta is an old village, which is 650 years old and was originated by a Muslim Saint Shah Allah Ditta. He further informed that Shah Allah Ditta village is famous for many old caves which belong to the Buddha’s age. He informed that the wall of the caves had the pictures of Buddha but with the passage of time they got disappeared.

CDA Member (Administration) Muhammad Yasir Peerzada directed the formations to install detailed information board. He further directed to improve connecting roads to provide easy access to the visitors.

He said that Islamabad mayor and CDA chairman has directed to start the preservation of the site at the earliest. He said that mountains in the area are ideal for the hiking therefore, steps would be taken for promoting hiking activity in the area.
