Dar’s statement has no tangible value: Anusha

Minister of State of Information Technology and Telecommunication Anusha Rehman observed that the confessional statement of Ishaq Dar had no tangible value adding that 13 judges disposed off the case of Hudaibia Paper Mills.

Talking to the media here on Monday, PML-N leaders Anusha Rehman, Maiza Hameed and Daniyal Aziz said there was no worth of statement taken at gunpoint.

Anusha Rehman said that Sharif family had paid back every penny of loan and there was no money included in it as it was matter of two banks. She said they have record that the money was returned to the banks before Musharraf’s takeover in 1999.

The minister further stated that everyone knew about what happened in the time of dictatorship, adding that they would see reaction of Imran Khan if he could spend half-an-hour in Attock Fort. She said that they have hope from the judiciary and the decision would be in favour of Sharif family. She said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) was politicizing the Panama papers issue for petty political gains.

She said that PTI had failed to produce any single evidence in the court on Panama papers and now they were just misleading the people on the issue.

PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz said that they have fight back bravely against allegations on PML-N, stating Panama case has been finished and PTI is only taking up dead issues. He said Jehangir Tareen himself accepted that he had earned profit.

PML-N lawmaker Maiza Hameed said the PTI chairman tried to sell Panama papers case in his public meeting, proving that this issue has no worth.

Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry Monday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had failed to prove any allegation in the Supreme Court regarding the Panama Papers case.

Talking to the media here outside the Supreme Court, the minister said the PTI leaders were actually trying to propagate the matter just to mislead the people as they had failed to produce any evidence in support of their allegations.

He said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the country was moving towards economic progress. Several new projects were being initiated to improve the living standard of the people, he said.
