Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Shahid Khan Afridi has backed Sarfraz Ahmad as skipper for all the formats.
Speaking to journalists, after attending a ceremony at Karachi University the other day, Afridi labelled Sarfraz Ahmad as ‘best available choice’ for being captain, adding that Imran Khan was greatly impressed with his fitness and said that he could still play cricket.
Afridi hinted at retirement from international cricket while responding to a question on making his return to the national squad.”I had played cricket that I wanted to play. I just want to enjoy league cricket now”, he insisted.
About question on Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore, Afridi said that league’s matches should also be held in other parts of the country.
