The war of words and allegations between the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) jumped a notch as the latter demanded a forensic audit of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s long rule in the province.

In an apparent move to further build pressure on the Sharif family, PTI Central Secretary Information Naeemul Haq demanded that a forensic audit of Shehbaz Sharif’s decade-long rule should be carried out who, he said, has destroyed all the institutions in the largest province.

He said that the CM Punjab should be made answerable for the destruction of all institutions in the province, especially the police.

Lashing out at Shehbaz Sharif, PTI Central Secretary Information said that CM Punjab has buried deep good governance in the province during his decade-long rule.

He said that Shehbaz Sharif made Punjab self-sufficient in poverty, hunger and ignorance, adding that hospitals distributed deaths in the province instead of providing treatment to the poor masses.

“Shehbaz Sharif wasted billions of rupees in colourful taxies schemes, jangla buses as well as Orange Train project. All his mega projects have failed,” he added.

Naeemul Haq said that the CM took billions of dollars as loan and wasted all the borrowed money in corruption.

He said that like Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif his younger brother Shehbaz Sharif will also have to face accountability in Panama Leaks scandal.

The PTI leader said that it is the need of the hour to carry out forensic audit of completed tenure of Shehbaz Sharif’s rule because he is responsible for the destruction of all institutions. He should be held accountable in this regard.
