Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken the decision of changing both Test and One-Day International (ODI) captains after poor Australia and New Zealand tours.

According to reports, PCB has informed Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq that it does not include him in its future plans, however, the ultimate decision is to be taken by Misbah himself.

It is also expected that if Misbah-ul-Haq calls it a day then his services will be taken to improve domestic cricket.

Azhar Ali is also likely to be sacked as ODI captain due to poor performance. PCB is planning to appoint a new captain for the West Indies series.

Azhar Ali was criticised strongly by former cricketers and media, and this is also a major reason behind the decision.

Furthermore, PCB has requested Younis Khan to complete his 10, 000 Test runs in the upcoming series against the West Indies and leave the team in order to give chance to youngsters.

According to PCB,  the board plans to implement changes after the poor team performance every time, but players over the age of 35 are at hit list this time around.

However, Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur has opposed PCB’s decision of changing Test and ODI skippers simultaneously.

Arthur has asked PCB to let the same captains play West Indies series, as changing them will have a serious impact on the team and situation will get out of control.
