The federal government has decided to appoint Privatisation Commission Chairman Muhammad Zubair new Sindh governor.
All preparations have been completed in this regard and Zubair is expected to take oath as the governor on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Formal notification by the federal government is yet to be issued.
The seat fell vacant after the death of Justice (retd) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui due to illness. The 79-year-old only served for 2 months which made him the shortest-serving governor in Sindh’s history.
