As many as 120 youths participated in a seven-day capacity and peace building program ‘Lead the Way’ organised by the Institute for Advancing Careers and Talents (IACT) at Habib University in collaboration with the Karachi Youth Initiative (KYI) here on Friday.
The initiative was taken to engage young adults in activities for peace building and community development to enhance their capacities to resolve intolerance and violence, said a statement.
Habib University Projects Head Faheem Bukhari applauded the efforts of the ‘Lead the Way’ team for organising such a constructive program for the youth. The trained participants will reach out to their communities and will implement ‘Social Action Projects’ with the help of others to resolve their issues and conflicts.
