ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders on Thursday lodged a verbal attack on their opponent party Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).

Talking to the media outside the Supreme Court, Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that Maryam Nawaz is not dependent of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He reiterated that the PTI has no evidence against the Sharif family in Panama Papers case and is doing negative propaganda against them. Chaudhry said that Imran Khan is afraid that he will have to contest Maryam Nawaz in the elections.

Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif pronounced that Imran Khan believes on umpire and lottery. However, he said there is consistency in his stance and will be vindicated. He alleged that he held sit-in in 2014 in hope of attaining power.

Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique termed Panama as a political case and said that they are seeing Imran Khan’s jealousy, adding:“Those who are faking things should know that they will never be successful”.

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb asserted that there is no link of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with the Panama Case. She said Maryam Nawaz is an independent woman and a regular taxpayer, while all the documents showing that she is not dependent of the prime minister have been submitted before the court.

According to her, Imran Khan is also retreating from the case as he has failed to produce any evidence in support of his allegations and all ambiguities created by PTI chief around tax evasion and money laundering will stand clear when the counsel of Prime Minister’s sons will present his arguments on Friday.

PML-N MNA Talal Chaudhry criticiaed that Imran Khan doesn’t consider himself bound to give details of his offshore company.
