Punjab Police Inspector General Mushtaq Sukhera brought traffic to a halt for two hours on all important national highways in Lahore due to security concerns based on reports by intelligence agencies.
Sources said that after the Parachinar vegetable market blast, IG Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera on information provided by intelligence agencies, stopped all traffic on key highways in Lahore to make the security of provincial metropolis fool proof.
All passing traffic was then subjected to stern checking during the deadlock.
