Man throws steaming hot tea on minor maid’s face

GUJRANWALA: In another case of domestic violence, a 12-year-old maid ended up in hospital on Tuesday with severe burns she suffered when her employer allegedly threw steaming hot tea on her face.

Information gleaned by the media suggested that Malik Asif asked his maid Rukhsar to bring him a cup of tea and the girl slightly delayed serving it. Fuming with anger, Asif not only told Rukhsar off but also threw tea on her face inflicting burns.

Some people shifted the girl to the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital, where she was being treated till last reports came in.

Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court took notice of the incident and ordered action against the suspect.

PUNISHMENT: Saddar SP Kamran Mumtaz on Tuesday suspended from service a sub-inspector who allegedly beat a motorcycle-rickshaw driver.

A motorcycle-rickshaw hit the car of SI Samiullah on GT Road. The policeman lost his cool and clobbered Mustaqeem, who was driving the three-wheeler.

The SP took notice of the incident and suspended the sub-inspector after which police registered a case against him.
