Cold wave continues: Rain lashes parts of Punjab, KP

LAHORE: Heavy rain lashed different parts of the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday (today).

A spokesperson for Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) told that the rain spell will continue in the next twenty-four hours.

Moreover, rainfall continued in Peshawar. According to the Met department, over two millimetres of rain has been recorded in Peshawar.

Besides Peshawar, heavy rainfall continued in different parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, including Risalpur, Bannu, DI Khan, Balakot, Kakul, Malam Jabba, Lower Dir, Chital and Kalam, according to the Met department.

Light drizzle in Karachi also intensified cold in the metropolis.

Quetta and adjacent areas also received rain and snowfall on Tuesday and Wednesday, sending cold waves to Sindh and Punjab.

Foggy conditions and rain are likely to continue over plain areas of Punjab and Sindh during night and morning hours.
