Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar chaired a meeting to oversee follow-up measures for the multinational naval exercise AMAN-17 at his office.
The meeting was attended by DMC Central Chairman Rehan Hashmi, KWSB MD Misbahuddin Farid, Technical Services DG Shahab Anwer, Parks DG Afaq Mirza, DMC West Administrator Ghulam Farid, MC South Afaq Saeed, and other officers, according to a statement released here on Monday.
The mayor said that all concerned agencies concerned have been provided with a route map for AMAN-17. He directed all departments to carry out all the needed measures by February 7 and said that in case of any ambiguity the same may immediately be brought to the notice of the mayor for timely correction.
The mayor will visit the whole route on February 7 to review the arrangements.
It was also directed that ongoing development of the service road of Marriot Hotel and Frere Hall should be completed expeditiously.
