Parachinar blast: Eight suspects held during search operation

The law enforcement agencies have arrested eight suspects in connection with Parachinar blast.

A day earlier, blast at a market in Peshawar’s Parachinar area left at least 25 people dead and 87 others wounded.

Assistant Political Agent Shahid Ali Khan on Sunday confirmed that the political administration of the agency had arrested seven suspects.

The suspects have been shifted them to an undisclosed location for further investigation.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Sunday visited the Agency Headquarter Hospital to inquire after the health of those who were injured in the Parachinar blast.

 General Qamar Javed Bajwa vowed to punish the perpetrators of Saturday’s Parachinar market bombing.

The political administration also declared three days of mourning across the agency, where all education and business centres remained closed on the second day.
