Rishi Kapoor is fearless as he speaks his mind. The actor is out in open with his aptly titled autobiography, Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored.
In a recent interview, Rishi confessed to having bought an award for INR30,000 back in the year 1973, reported Pinkvilla.
Quoting the actor, senior Indian journalist Rajdeep Sardesai recently tweeted, “Yes, I bought a film award for INR30,000 in 1973. I am ashamed of what I did but I was young and rich!”
That awards are generally rigged is a topic of debate these days. But if in the 70s’ awards were easily purchased, then questioning their integrity won’t make much sense in today’s time as well.
In another report, it is being said that Rishi Ji bought his Filmfare Best Actor award for his 1973 film Bobby. The credibility of awards has always been disputed in Bollywood.
