Snowfall spell comes to a halt in Murree

The prolonged spell of snowfall halted on Wednesday in Murree but a number of tourists are still arriving in the city to enjoy the weather.

In the Malika-e-Kohsar region and adjoining areas, about two feet snow has fallen, and more is expected in the coming days.

Snow has also engulfed Galyaat, Ayubia, Nathiagali, Kaghan, Swat and other mountainous areas.

People are facing severe chill around the country including Lahore, Karachi and Quetta.

Light and intermittent rain in Islamabad and Rawalpindi has further minimised the temperature.

Today’s Lowest Minimum Temperatures:

Skardu -12°C, Gupis -09°C, Kalam, Astore -08°C, Parachinar -07°C, Malamjabba, Rawalakot -06°C, Kalat, Bagrote -05°C.
