Shehbaz distributes laptops among female students, teachers of Balochistan

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the federal government is responsible for providing education, transport, and other facilities in Balochistan and that the PML-N government is discharging all these responsibilities. The chief minister said that justice had not been done to Balochistan due to multiple reasons, but the current federal government was making all-out efforts for the development of Balochistan, which includes the CPEC.

“The CPEC is a great project for the whole country, but Balochistan will benefit more from the project than any other province,” Shehbaz Sharif said.

The chief minister expressed these views while talking to a delegation of teachers and students from the Jamiat-ul-Hasnat Inter College, Quetta, and other institutions of Balochistan. He distributed laptops among teachers and female students and announced sending 10 students from Gwadar to China to learn the Chinese language.

Regarding an increase of Balochistan’s student quota in Punjab’s educational institutions, the CM said that the Punjab government was ready to do so, but that this was not a permanent solution, and that instead, the government of Balochistan should take initiatives to provide excellent educational facilities to the people of the province.

He said that the NFC Award 2010 was the greatest achievement of federal and four provincial governments and that this historic agreement. The agreement was reached in Lahore and later signed in Gwadar. Shehbaz Sharif added that under the award decided with the approval of federal and provincial governments, resources for Balochistan had increased by 100 percent.
