Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) of Sindh Nusrat Sehar Abbasi has requested the provincial government to look into extending winter vacations, keeping in mind the school-children who are falling ill due to the cold weather.
Talking to media persons on the premises of the Sindh Assembly Building on Wednesday, she said that the provincial government should change the schedule of winter and summer vacations because of the changing climate.
She said that the government is pursuing the old schedule of vacations which is not suitable for the current weather situation.
Replying to a question regarding an extension of powers to the Sindh Rangers, she said that the extension of powers to the paramilitary force should be approved, and added that it was due to the efforts of the paramilitary force that the law and order situation has improved.
