SHEIKHUPURA: Four suspected militants were killed Wednesday (today) in an encounter with the counter-terrorism department (CTD) police.
A CTD spokesperson told media that they had received information about banned outfits terrorists, hiding in Sheikhupura district.
Upon reaching the place, an armed conflict started between the CTD officials and the suspected militants.
Four alleged terrorists were gunned down by the CTD while three managed to flee.
Police managed to recover arms, ammunition and explosive material from the suspected militants.
According to reports, Asif Chotu, a notorious criminal, was also among the suspected militants who were gunned down by the CTD officials. The CTD stated that Asif Chotu was involved in the killings of more than 100 people.
Other suspected terrorists were identified as, Ali Sufyan and Noor-ul-Amin. The CTD stated that Rizwan was nominated in 100 murder cases and had a head money of Rs 3,000,000.
