Ambassador of Morocco meets Mayor Wasim Akhtar

Ambassador of Morocco Muhammad Karmune along with Honorary Consul General of Morocco Mirza Ishtiaq Baig called on Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar in his office on Wednesday.

Besides discussing matters of mutual interest, the mayor and the ambassador talked about declaring Karachi and the Moroccon capital city Rabat as twin cities.

Wasim Akhtar informed the ambassador and consul general of Morocco about various development schemes for Karachi, and the ambassador expressed his good wishes for the development.

PLF delegation meets mayor

Wasim Akhtar has said that the issue of Palestine will be resolved one day and that the sacrifices made by their people would not go in vain.

“The people of Karachi support Palestinian brethren in their struggle for legitimate rights,” the mayor said.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of the Palestine Liberation Front (PLF) Pakistan that met him in his office, said a statement on Wednesday.

The delegation was represented by MPA Mehfooz Yar Khan, Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani, Allama Baqir Zaidi, Pirzada Azhar Ali Shah Hamdani, Advocate Raja Ali, Bashir-ul-Qadri, Sabir Abu Maryem, and Ali Ahmed. Palestinian students were also present on this occasion.

The delegation members informed the Mayor of Karachi that they would continue their struggle for the rights of Palestinians.
