NAB arrests Imtiaz Solangi in Memon Society case

In an investigation against Abdul Ghaffar Dada and others pertaining to Memon Society, Hyderabad, an accused in the matter Hyderabad Supervising Tapedar Imtiaz Solangi has been arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi.

He was wanted in case No 18170/15, said a statement issued here on Tuesday.

It is claimed that he illegally kept entries in the record of rights based on forged documents in connivance with builders, namely Abdul Ghaffar Dada and Rafiq Solangi, which were subsequently verified by Mukhtiarkar Ali Zulfiqar, who was later arrested in the same case and is currently in judicial custody.

As a consequence of the offence on the part of the revenue officials in connivance with the builders, people at large were tempted to purchase pieces of land that never existed, leading to a fraud of Rs 107 million.

The lands were purported to be located at prime locations in Qasimabad, Hyderabad.

Abdul Ghaffar Dada and Rafique Solangi are absconding and raids for their arrests are underway.
