100 MW Solar Project earns Rs 900 mn in a year

LAHORE: The 100 MW solar project installed in Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Park Bahawalpur earned a profit of Rs. 900 million in one year.

A ceremony was held to deposit the amount into the exchequer of the provincial government of the Punjab.

Planning and Development chairman, Finance secretary, Energy secretary, Specialised Health and Medical Education secretary, Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park CEO and the other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the profit of Rs 90 million earned from the project will be spent on healthcare systems and assured that every penny of the profit will be spent in a transparent manner.

The CM said that the profit earned from the project in a year proves excellent performance of the government and the chairman of the project has worked tirelessly to make it successful.

The chief minister expressed his joy over the completion of the project and said that government is making all-out efforts to eliminate load-shedding.

Shahbaz Sharif marked this day as a historic one and expressed the hope that the whole team would continue the work with the same zeal and dedication.

He said that the government is ensuring transparency in all the projects, as a result, Rs. 900 million has been deposited into the exchequer.
