Arfa Karim’s 5th death anniversary observed

The fifth death anniversary of Arfa Karim Randhawa, who was once the youngest Microsoft certified information technology professional, was observed on Saturday.
She was born in Faisalabad’s Ram Divali area and became an information technology engineer at a tender age of nine years. Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates conferred the degree upon the then youngest professional in 2004.
In the following months, Arfa went on to receive several awards for her brilliant work. She was awarded the Pride of Performance, Salam Pakistan Youth and Madar-e-Millat awards.
Arfa suffered an epileptic attack on December 22, 2011, and was shifted to a hospital in Lahore. She went into a coma after the epileptic attack and passed away on January 14, 2012.
