Recovery of missing children is an invaluable service: Shehbaz Sharif

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif was a chief guest at a ceremony held regarding the recovery of missing children in Model Town on Wednesday.

The Punjab Child Protection and Welfare Bureau has recovered children lost from different areas of Punjab and handed them over to their parents. A child belonging to Afghanistan has also been recovered. His parents have been traced in Afghanistan and he will be handed over to them.

Addressing the function, the chief minister said the Punjab Child Protection and Welfare Bureau had made highly commendable efforts with the cooperation of the Sindh and KP governments.

The chief minister congratulated Bureau Chairwoman Saba Sadiq, her institution, and the entire team.

“Provincial Minister Rana Sanaullah, Advisor Rana Maqbool Ahmed, the chief secretary, police, administration and other concerned institutions also deserve appreciation for their excellent work,” Shehbaz Sharif said.

The chief minister said that the Punjab Child Protection and Welfare Bureau also provides technical training which is a great service. “Subsidiary institutions of the bureau are being set up in other cities of the province,” he said.

Shehbaz Sharif added that more funds will be provided to the bureau.
