Renowned Pakistani Nuclear Physicist Dr Samar Mubarakmand has said that a strong defense system was the guarantee of a fast defense of Kashmir.
Addressing the annual olympiad at the Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) late on Sunday, he said that the Pakistani people were with their Kashmiri brethren.
He pointed out that the Nasr missile – a solid fuel tactical ballistic missile system capable of carrying a nuclear warhead – was the latest addition to the country’s missile programme.
“Currently, the enemy has to think over a thousand times before daring to engage in any misadventure against Pakistan,” he observed while pointing to the nuclear missile programme.
However, he said that an educated crop of youngsters remained the nation’s biggest asset. “Material and the huge foreign exchange of any country are not assets of that country,” he said, adding that, “Rather, the educated and hardworking young generation of any developed country is considered to be the basic asset of that country.”
MUST Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Habibur Rehman said that hard work, commitment and determination were the key to achieving success at each step of life.
The VC urged the students to follow in the footsteps of eminent scientists such as Dr Mubarakmand and to work hard like him.
