IGP orders stern action against street crimes

 

Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khowaja has directed the police officers to take effective steps to eliminate street crimes in Karachi.

He issued these directives while chairing a meeting at Central Police Office regarding elimination of street crimes. The meeting was also attended by Additional IGP Karachi Mushtaq Ahmed Mehar. CPLC chief Zubair Habeeb, Zonal DIGs Karachi, DIG CIA, AIG operations Sindh and AIG Admin were also present in the meeting.

The IGP directed additional IGP to give special task to SIU for street crimes’ elimination, and issue a notice for assigning SSP SIU Farooq Awan duty as focal person in this connection so that the accused involved in street and others crimes could be eliminated through stern action and strong liaison with CPLC.

He directed the CPLC chief to ensure making such a computerized software system that could help in blocking the stolen mobiles.
