Addressing a delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the federal government had worked hard during the last three and a half years to put the country on the road to progress and development.

He said that the national economy had strengthened due to the government’s effective policies and that the government had promoted a culture of transparency.

Shehbaz Sharif said that projects initiated by the present government are an example of transparency, speed, and standard. He said that the federal government had saved billions of rupees in development projects, including an unprecedented 112 billion rupees in three 3600 megawatt gas-fired power plants.

The chief minister added that a zero-tolerance policy had been adopted against corruption and that international institutions were acknowledging the steps taken by the government.

Shehbaz Sharif claimed that load-shedding would be eliminated by the end of the current year as a result of the completion of power projects currently underway, resulting in the acceleration of economic activities, creation of job opportunities, and increased investment.
