Awami National Party-Wali (ANP-W) Chairwoman Begum Naseem Wali said that her party would launch a movement to secure the due share of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

She was addressing party gathering in Sarband area of Peshawar on Sunday.

Central Senior Vice President Nawabzada Muhsin Ali Khan, Provincial President Farid Tofan, Sindh President Fazal Karim, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Vice President Pir Fayaz, FATA Information Secretary Gul Nawaz Mohmand, Peshawar President Aurangzeb Khalil, General Secretary Faridullah Khalil, Shah Jehan Khan, and Joint Secretary Riaz Marwat and others were present on the occasion.

Begum Naseem said that CPEC is one of the mega projects, and if the Pakhtuns were ignored in this project of national importance, then it would a major blunder on the part of the federal government. She said that like the movement of their leader Bacha Khan Abdul Wali Khan, ANP-W would also launch a movement to ensure the due share of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in CPEC.

She made it clear that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan were badly affected in the war against terrorism, and due to the military operation and suicide blasts, the people were forced to migrate to other parts of the country, which caused major financial losses to the poor people of the province.

She suggested that China is developing its southern part through CPEC and that is why they focused the underdeveloped areas of the country in this project; unfortunately, the federal government was still making a conspiracy to deprive KP of its due rights in CPEC.

She also endorsed the merger of FATA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and said that for the last 70 years, this part of the country remained without a constitution. She said that merging of FATA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would usher a new era of peace and development in FATA.
