Corpse recovered
A body of an unknown man has been found from nullah Leh within the jurisdiction of Pir Wadhai police.
According to media reports, a body was recovered from nullah Leh in the area of Pir Wadhai.
Police suspected that the deceased could be a drug addict.
Police have taken the body into its custody and shifted it to a nearby local hospital for autopsy.
Woman killed in hit-and-run incident
A woman has been killed in a hit-and-run incident within the Khanna Police jurisdiction.
A woman was walking on a road when a speedy car driven recklessly by an unidentified driver crushed her, leaving her dead on the road.
The body was shifted to the PIMs for medico-legal formalities. The identity of deceased could not be ascertained immediately. The driver fled the scene.
The police have started an investigation.
Girl allegedly abducted
Three armed persons have allegedly abducted a girl within Saddar police jurisdiction.
Ali lodged a complaint with the local police stating that three armed persons broke into his house by scaling boundary wall and held family members hostage at gunpoint.
He told they abducted his elder sister and fled the scene. According to the complainer they abducted his sister for immoral activities. The police have registered a case and started investigation
Man looted at gunpoint
Two armed motorcyclists have looted a man at gunpoint within Airport police jurisdiction.
Mir Hussain lodged a complaint with the local police stating that he was on way home when two armed motorcyclists intercepted him and held him hostage at gunpoint.
He said they snatched Rs84,000, cell phone, ATM card and other documents.
The police have registered a case however police have not made any recovery till the filling of this report.
Two held for decanting gas
The Sadiqabad police have arrested two persons for illegally decanting gas in cylinders.
On tip off the police officials raided a gas filling station in its jurisdiction and arrested Muhammad Nawaz and Amir for decanting gas illegally in cylinders.
The police have also seized cylinders and other equipment from their possession. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
