In compliance with the orders of the Supreme Court, Sindh Police Inspector General A D Khawaja has constituted the Centralized Re-examination Committee to conduct eligibility tests of those candidates recruited into Sindh Police as constables from 2012 to 2016.
A police spokesperson on Tuesday said that the committee will be headed by Additional Inspector General Sanaullah Abbasi.
The candidates recruited during the mentioned period had been discharged from service on grounds of being recruited illegally. Their dismissal was said to be made as per recommendations of an enquiry conducted by a team of senior officers of the department itself.
The then dismissed candidates, as per orders of the Supreme Court will now be re-examined according to the general recruitment pattern criteria adopted by the Sindh police department in 2016, said the spokesman.
The criteria include a physical examination, a written test through the National Testing Service (NTS) and other relevant assessments that are part of the department’s recruitment policy.
“Exemption from the running test will be offered only to those who were injured or were exposed medical conditions during their service with the Sindh police department,” said the spokesman.
He said that the Centralized Re-examination Committee will complete the task within three months.
