During the course of the hearing, Muhammad Sadiq Baloch, the counsel of petitioner told that court that accused Shahzad was drinking water while sitting on a water channel. The deceased Muhammad Youqab stopped him to do so, which led to the exchange of hot words.

The counsel of petitioner further said that post mortem was conducted after one day of murder incident.

The apex court has acquitted the accused on the absence of solid evidence.
